Returning to the game, the man says there's a storage care. When playing for a few minutes, you will realize that there are some mysterious spells in this game. In the caves, you will find treasures, rare flowers or even fairyfly. You will discover caves, houses, mysterious forests. I believe you will be thrilled with the unique 3D graphics and beautiful effects that William and Sly 2 brings to you. Your task in this game is to control the fox and explore all over the world of William and Sly 2, and maybe you can get back books for the man. They keep stealing my books and now they’ve taken my journal. The man said he was tired of chasing after the gnomes. At the start of the game, you will see a fox talking to a man. Love the series, and best luck to you.William and Sly 2 is the second part of this great adventure series, developed by Lucas Paakh. So in other words, I personally recommend sticking with 2D, but that may have negative kickback as well. A fox jumping gracefully jumping in 2D will look like one of those lowgrav types of games from back then and be extremely unprofessional. I'm picturing in my head games from the era of 3D games that really started around Super Mario 64 where tons of developers were releasing extremely similar platforming games with usually godawful controls and screwed up physics. I just feel that if you do release it as a 3D game, whether that be a 3rd person or 1st person experience, a large aspect of the game will be lost. Then again, if you do release it as a 2D sidescroller, there would be many people that say you are just piggybacking off of Ori and the Blind Forest and give you negative feedback. I personally feel that the sidescrolling platforming helped the game make you feel like "the player is in control", which in my opinion is not present in 3D games, which you say here. Just the freedom of motion, beautiful art style, and the "Metroidvania" gameplay elements. Especially in the 2nd one, the gameplay and art style felt a TON like a precursor to the newer popular game, Ori and the Blind Forest. I really enjoyed both games when I played them (which was about 1-2 months ago). Hm, reading your comments so far, I'm a bit mixed about this, unfortunately. Good luck! I'll be watching out for it on greenlight. That kind of thing can get traction in communities like r/games.

As far as self-promotion, I can just say put together a nice short video trailer that shows off the core of the game. I think the level design should put more emphasis on discoveries like that so it doesn't just feel like finding the red blue and yellow keys to advanceĭespite minor criticisms, this is a pretty awesome project and I hope you can continue to build it into something bigger. but I think in a game about exploring the world, the world should be the focus of the story.įinding the Ahmni didn't feel very special. idk, maybe he's more interesting if I payed more attention to the story. the second game definitely does a lot better, there's still room for improvement. I think an atmospheric game like this would benefit a lot from more attention to the soundtrack. I have a couple recommendations for my taste: It seems almost like Echo The Dolphin for franchise platformers. Art in the second game especially is great. The platforming also feels very good for a flash game. Hey man, I never heard of this game but I just played the two flash games for a bit and they were really cool! I think you do a great job of guiding the player through the level.
